United States President Donald Trump has announced that they have withdrawn 50 million barrels of oil from Venezuela since the arrest of former President Maduro.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, the US president said that 50 million barrels of oil from the South American country had been taken in the first four days after their intervention.
Trump further said that the amount of oil taken from Venezuela is now being sold on the open market and that this is helping to lower the price of oil.
" We are lowering oil prices," he told reporters, adding that there were millions of barrels of oil left in Venezuela.
