The UN is not very useful...
United States President Donald Trump has openly stated that the Peace Board he plans to create will most likely replace the United Nations (UN).
After the press conference where Trump spoke about the achievements of his one-year administration, he was asked by reporters if the Peace Board's goal was to replace the UN, and the US president said that such a thing is possible.
" That may be so. The UN is not very useful. It has potential, but it has never considered going to them to resolve any war ," Trump said.
He was then asked how far the US would go to get Greenland, but Trump cut him short by saying 'you'll see soon.' He further emphasized that the Greenland situation will be resolved in the best possible way.
"As you know, I'm leaving for Davos tonight and we have a lot of meetings planned for Greenland. And I think things are going to go pretty well ," Trump said.
Trump was also asked about the threat of the Greenland tariff and what happens if the Supreme Court rules against the legality of using tariffs against EU countries. Trump said that if the Court rejects the tariffs, he will find something else to put pressure on.
"We're going to have to find something else. What we're doing now is the best, strongest, fastest and least complicated way ," Trump said.
Another reporter asked Trump how he would characterize his relationship with Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron currently, and whether he had spoken to them since his social media post earlier today.
Trump said he had not spoken to any of them, but stressed that he had a very good relationship with them, despite their harsh treatment of him on the phone.
" No, I haven't talked to them, but I think I get along very well with them. I mean, they always treat me well. They get a little rough when I'm not around, but when I'm around they treat me very well. And, you know, I like both of them ," Trump said./ Pamphlet
