According to Turkish media, the 37-year-old first shot and killed his ex-wife Arzu Özden, 32, in the Darıpınarı neighborhood of the Çamlıyayla district.

After the crime, the perpetrator left in a vehicle with license plates "01 B 9171" and headed to the Tarsus district, where he continued armed attacks in various areas.

One of the most serious attacks took place in the Kadelli Dörtler neighborhood, where Metin Ö. drove up to the restaurant owned by Sabri Pan and opened fire on the people there.
