From the first details, it is learned that the explosion occurred on the minus nine floor, which results in a 30-meter depth of the lake.
The Mayor of Comugnano, Marco Masinara, explained that the workers were making some adjustments to the turbines of the hydropower plant.
The head of the fire brigade has said that the intervention is difficult, due to both the depth and the smoke present.
"The incident happened below the water level and we have difficulty getting there, also because of the smoke. The moment we reach the right floor, we will also understand what exactly happened. Meanwhile, we do not know the causes of the explosion yet", the head of the fire brigade told the Italian media.
The injured were immediately given medical aid, but on the other hand, there is still no information about the missing.
