Authorities in Dubai stated that the explosions heard in several areas of the emirate were the result of successful interceptions by the country's air defense systems.
According to the Dubai Media Office, defense systems neutralized the targets in the air and no casualties or material damage were reported.
The incident comes at a time of high tension in the region, as the escalating conflict between Iran, Israel and their allies is increasingly involving more Middle Eastern countries.
At the same time, Hezbollah has warned that it will continue to confront what it calls “Israeli-American aggression.” In a speech broadcast on the organization’s television, the leader of the Iranian-backed group, Naim Qassem, declared that the movement will not back down.
" We are facing an aggression. Our choice is to face it to the last sacrifice and we will not surrender ," he said.
Qassem added that Hezbollah will continue to defend its interests and that confronting opponents is, according to him, an "existential defense" that will continue until the group's objectives are achieved.
