Donald Trump has stated that the United States has been informed by most NATO allies that they do not want to be involved in the conflict with Iran.
In a post on the Truth Social platform, he expressed that such a stance did not surprise him, hinting at a lack of support from international partners.
"We will protect them, but they will do nothing for us, especially in a time of need ," Trump wrote.
He went further by emphasizing that the US no longer needs the help of NATO countries.
"WE DON'T NEED ANYONE'S HELP," Trump said in his statement.
In the same reaction, Trump accused Iran of using artificial intelligence and the media to spread disinformation, claiming that fake images and news about attacks on American targets have been published.
He specifically mentioned reports of damage to American aircraft and alleged images of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in flames, calling them untrue.
"It's all FAKE NEWS, generated by artificial intelligence," Trump declared.
According to him, Iran is using propaganda to create the impression of greater military power, while in reality, according to his claims, the country is suffering heavy losses.
Trump's statements come at a time of high tensions in the Middle East, while Western allies' positions on the conflict remain unclear.
