Belgrade has been alarmed again with the issue of foreign "spies" operating in Serbia. According to what the Serbian media reports, a Serbian citizen who allegedly worked for the Albanian and Kosovar secret services was arrested today.
"A member of the espionage group was arrested in a joint operation by members of the Security and Information Agency and the High Public Prosecutor of Jagodina" , reports "Novosti".
Further in the Serbian media it is said that the arrest came as part of the investigation of a group of spies in Serbia, by the citizen with the initials DR, for the account of SHISH and the intelligence agencies in Kosovo.
"The citizen with the initials PM from Jagodina was arrested while he was returning from abroad. He is suspected of the criminal offense of espionage and has been ordered to be detained for up to 30 days" , reports "B92".

In addition to the needs for intelligence, the Serbian media write that the group also used the data to try to discredit the Republic of Serbia in the international framework.
At the beginning of the year, members of the BIA discovered an espionage network in Serbian territory, which led to the arrest of the citizen with the initials DR, a Serbian citizen, who led the group, on suspicion of having been a collaborator of the State Intelligence Service of Albania - SHISH in in 2022, according to whose orders and duties he acted until his arrest.
As part of the investigations, BIA members, near the village of Karadak, near Rashka, among other things, found a camera and a solar panel that supplied the camera with electricity, as well as an SD card.
