British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has held talks with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and French President Emmanuel Macron, following attacks on energy facilities in the Middle East.
According to a Downing Street spokesman, the discussions focused on the tense situation in the region, including Iran's attacks on energy infrastructure in Qatar.
"The leaders discussed the situation in the Middle East, including the attacks on Qatar's energy facilities," the spokesman said.
The three leaders agreed that attacks on critical infrastructure risk deepening the crisis and further destabilizing the region.
Starmer stressed the need for close coordination between international partners and called for the development of a concrete plan to ensure security in the Strait of Hormuz, a key corridor for global energy transport.
"It is vital that partners work together on a workable plan for security in Hormuz," he said.
However, European NATO countries have previously shown reluctance to get involved in a joint military operation proposed by the US to protect this strategic corridor.
