Donald Trump has made new statements in an interview with TIME magazine, attempting to explain his positions on ending the war in Ukraine.
The American president has not only blamed Kiev for starting the conflict, but has also announced "peace plans" that, according to reports, envisage the handover of about 20% of Ukrainian territories to Russia.
"I think the war started when they started talking about NATO membership," the US president declared.
In the same context, he openly advocated that “Crimea will remain in Russia,” referring to the Ukrainian peninsula that was illegally annexed by Moscow in 2014.
