Ukraine condemned the suppression of protests in Georgia, Medvedev threatens

The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, expressed his indignation at the fact that the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine condemned the suppression of protests in Georgia.

Reacting to Ukraine's statement, Medvedev warned Zelensky to beg not to experience a second Maidan, because otherwise he will envy what happened to former president Viktor Yanukovych

" We can only wonder what the lawless authorities of Ukraine will do after people take to the streets for another mejdan. Then, the bloody clown will bitterly envy the fate of Viktor Yanukovych ," Medvedev said on his website on VKontakte.

We recall that the Maidan uprising was a wave of demonstrations and civil unrest in Ukraine, which began on November 21, 2013 with large protests in Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square in Kyiv. The protests were sparked by President Viktor Yanukovych's surprise decision not to sign the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, opting instead for closer ties with Russia and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Ukraine's parliament had overwhelmingly approved finalizing the deal with the EU, but Russia had pressured Ukraine to reject it.
