Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has offered to help Middle Eastern countries defend themselves from Iranian drones and missiles.
Ukraine has plenty of experience in combating Iranian Shahed drones that have been seen striking targets in the Middle East this week. Russia has frequently deployed the single-target attack drones, which explode on impact, since it began its invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
"Ukraine can contribute to protecting lives and stabilizing the situation (in the Middle East). Partners are contacting us ," Zelensky wrote on X on Wednesday.

The Ukrainian leader said military and intelligence officials would present opportunities to assist relevant countries and provide assistance in a way that does not weaken defenses in Ukraine.
"Ukrainian experts will operate at the scene, and teams are already coordinating these efforts. And we are ready to help protect lives, protect civilians, and support real efforts to stabilize the situation and, in particular, restore safe navigation in the region ," Zelensky added.
