
After the kind letter that Russian President Vladimir Putin sent to him on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade, he and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic also had a telephone conversation.
"I had a very good conversation with Russian President Putin", announced Vucic on his Instagram account, adding that he hopes that Serbia will not impose sanctions on Russia.
The president recalled that he had not spoken with his Russian counterpart for almost two and a half years and emphasized that this call was "open, long and meaningful".
"I expressed the hope, just like two and a half years ago, that Serbia will not impose sanctions on the Russian Federation, and also extraordinary gratitude for Moscow's support at the UN regarding the various resolutions and for the territorial integrity of Serbia," he said. Vucic.
The Serbian president, who recently received an invitation from the Russian president for the BRICS summit in Kazan, said that he will reveal more details about the conversation with the Russian leader on Monday, during an interview with Serbian Public Radio and Television.
