Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is preparing several changes to the country's Constitution to completely transfer control of the Serbian army to him.
Vučić is constantly addressed by the title "Supreme Commander", but according to Serbian regulations, this is simply a title that does not exist and is purely formal, which is why Vučić is seeking to change the regulation.
According to Dobrica Veselinovic, a ZLF MP, the proposal to amend the Law on the Army has just arrived in the Serbian Parliament.
This proposal in Article 19 foresees a very important change in the manner of command of the Serbian Armed Forces.
