The chairman of the Center of Serbia (SRCE) party, Zdravko Ponos, said that the country's president, Aleksandar Vučić, is "again trying to rise like ivy, to raise his shaky image, clinging to the army like a wall."
"He decided to encourage his weakened supporters by showing military force in Belgrade and to scare all those who protest against him," Ponosh said in an interview with today's Nova newspaper, speaking about the military parade that will soon be held in Belgrade.
Ponosh assessed that "there is little chance that the smell of tank exhaust will mask the smell of a dying regime" and stressed that Vučić is "a political corpse waiting to be buried in the next elections."
"The problem is that the scent of the fall of this regime is spreading now, and this carries the risk of infection and complications. That is why it is important that the funeral takes place as soon as possible, meaning that the fighting is ongoing," Ponosh said. (Kosovapress)
