A shocking event happened yesterday in Greece where a 69-year-old man killed his 57-year-old son-in-law, while the police arrested the author's wife as an accomplice in the murder.
According to Greek media, the murder on Saturday evening took place in front of the author's minor granddaughter and the victim's daughter.
The 69-year-old claimed to the police that he was pushed into his act because the son-in-law was treating his daughter badly.
His brother-in-law, who is a police officer and was the one who notified Immediate Action about the crime, categorically denies the accusation.
At the same time, according to a statement received by the police, it is proven that the 69-year-old's wife, when she saw her son-in-law, shouted from the phone to her husband: "Stop shooting."
Author's testimony
The policeman's son said that on Saturday afternoon, his son-in-law, who was a doctor at the hospital, asked him to stay with his two children for a while, because he was going to pick up the girl from some activity.
However, on the first floor there was another fight between the 57-year-old and his father-in-law.
Immediately after the crime, the perpetrator left on foot with a rifle in his hand and was going to the police station to surrender, shouting "I am young and I will surrender".
"We had problems and disagreements with the son-in-law. I thought that my daughter was not having a good time and that he was abusing her", according to the information, were the author's first words to the policemen who arrested him.
The victim's wife, however, seems to deny the concrete claim, since in the statement she gave to the police she said that they had no problems as a couple and that there were never any complaints about her husband's behavior.
