Navalny's spokeswoman confirms his death, demands that the body be returned to the family

Alexei Navalny's spokeswoman has confirmed the death of the leader of the Russian opposition and the biggest opponent of President Vladimir Putin. 

Navalny died at noon yesterday, while his body is near the investigators.

According to the BBC, Alexei Navalny's spokeswoman, Kira Yarmysh, has requested that Navalny's body be immediately handed over to his family, after the official confirmation of his death.

The news was announced by the prison services, which stated that Navalny felt bad after a walk, losing consciousness.

"On February 16, 2024, in colony No. 3, convict AA Navalny did not feel well after a walk, losing consciousness.

The medical staff of the institution arrived immediately and the emergency medical team was called. The emergency doctors have confirmed the death of the convict" , it was said in the announcement.
