There has been considerable speculation about the future of Wagner and his boss, Yevgeny Prigozhin, since they decided to launch a rebellion against Vladimir Putin this weekend.
Prigozhin was last seen leaving Rostov-on-Don late Saturday in a black SUV after the Kremlin said a deal had been brokered by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in which they said Prigozhin had agreed to go in Belarus and put an end to his rebellion.
But it has not been confirmed by Prigozhin himself what has been achieved in the agreement, which even though so much has been talked about, nothing is known about it yet!
While Belarus' official news agency said on Sunday that Lukashenko spoke again on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the morning, many doubts have been raised about Prigozhin's fate.
According to what Belarusian officials are reporting to CNN, they have no details on what Prigozhin's status will be in Belarus and even they could not confirm if Prigozhin had already arrived in the country.
In such circumstances, many questions arise about the fate of the man who "shaken" the foundations of Vladimir Putin's power, in just a few hours! Perhaps it is too early to draw conclusions, but Prigozhin's "agreement" with Lukashenko may have been Putin's "trap" for the "monster" he himself created.
