The echo of the Italian measures for the management of immigrants has quickly reached the other side of the Mediterranean, reports ' il Giornale' . In an article published today by the Italian newspaper, it is written that since Giorgia Meloni took office at Palazzo Chigi, there has been some fear in Africa about a possible crackdown that could be implemented by a right-wing government.
This fear, according to 'il Giornales', seems to be returning to reality a year later, with the agreement reached between the Italian and Albanian governments, for the creation of two Italian centers in Albania, to welcome immigrants after landing, guaranteeing entry in EU territory only for those who deserve international protection.
Albania is a non-EU country, so anyone boarding one of the boats crossing the Mediterranean is no longer guaranteed to enter Europe after disembarking. They have understood this in Africa as well, as shown by the reactions and comments that 'il Giornale' has selected under the news that it published a few days ago, about the Italy-Albania agreement.
" May God save you in your sleep, you ugly woman ," wrote a woman to Prime Minister Meloni. But of course she is not the only one who wished Meloni dead: "May God strike this woman ," comments another.
There are even some comments that wish the Meloni government to fall as soon as possible.
" You will leave, I trust the Italians. They will make you leave as they have already done with Salvini ", someone comments.
" I wish that your government will fall as soon as possible. No one can interfere in the fate of God's soldiers ," writes another.
According to 'il Giornale', the phrase "God's soldiers", at a historical moment like this, where Europe fears the arrival of terrorists ready for holy war, is one of the reasons why all countries are studying countermeasures against immigration.
