Kurti's biggest problem will not be the next government, which he likely will form anyway, but his policy in the face of the very extreme change in the international situation...
It is now clear that today's elections in Kosovo will not produce a political result, but a political risk.
Which was seen at the start of the election campaign, perhaps one of the most absurd things that has ever happened.
In addition to the real lack of major topics that should be brought up for debate, we have seen great polarization, as well as an absurd clash, which will further deepen the country's political divide.
A gap that, like in the four years we are leaving behind, caused the lack of a necessary national consensus on the major unresolved problems of the state.
On the other hand, we have seen a hyperactivation of the old system, through its 'deep state', to attack and smear Albin Kurti and Vetëvendosje.
It is absurd that the opposition leaders: Abdixhiku, Krasniqi or Hamza, have a 'politically correct' behavior towards the government and the majority, while the oligarchs have come to the forefront, smearing the man who leads Kosovo today below the belt.
It is obvious that the opposition leaders in this campaign have not been those running for the post of prime minister, but the Devollët of the Kosovo Clan, Lluka of Dukagjin, or Baton Haxhiu and Berat Buzhala. Add to this a media outlet financed by Tirana, which is both a television and an online portal.
What do these oligarchs need to enter the front line of attack, when it is not even their duty, but also a violation of the normal order of democratic functioning?
If the Devolls or Baton Haxhiu, as they have made known, are upset with the opposition's performance against Albin Kurti, they should simply say so and foster an open and constructive debate about this.
Their protagonism, besides being a deformation, also shows a major problem, as it seems that the real leaders of the opposition are the Devolli, Lluka or Buzhala and Haxhiu, not the opposition politicians.
Ramush Haradinaj, a few days ago, openly said in an interview on T7 that a construction worker from Dukagjini had given him high hopes, as he would collect more votes than in 2021.
Albin Kurti, having seen this situation, seems to have acted cunningly and skillfully, pitting himself not against the opposition, but against the old system with the oligarchs, who have confronted him, after failing to reach an agreement with them.
Kurti has already won a battle, because in 4 years he has never been seen with strong, powerful, billionaires, who once controlled the politics of old leaders. Some were even in the government, presidency and institutions. Thus Behgjet Pacolli, Ramiz Kelmendi were names who set government policies in the interest of their business, taking tenders and setting taxes as they pleased.
Kurti has skillfully pursued a "Trump-like" campaign, alone against everyone, which has brought him significant favor in the discourse, mobilizing his mass, but also intimidating his opponents, whom he has derailed.
However, Kurti's biggest problem will not be the next government, which he likely will form anyway, but his policy in the face of the very extreme change in the international situation.
Perhaps tonight, or at least tomorrow, Albin Kurti will have to send an important message to major Western chancelleries such as the US, Germany, France and Great Britain. A message that should show them that the Kosovo government is their reliable partner and immediately make public a brief 'road map' on how he conceives of the return of normal partnership.
Meanwhile, Albin Kurti must immediately, starting tomorrow evening, undertake a quick tour from Tirana to Berlin, Paris, Rome and London, but also Washington, or even further to move as quickly as possible. To put all diplomatic structures into operation, as well as announce profound government changes, bringing capable and visionary people to the top, and not characters who are specialists in insults and gaffes. Starting with Donika Gërvalla.
Strong signals are needed, otherwise Kosovo is in great danger, so the second step is an open and honest conversation with the leaders of the opposition for a step towards a great compromise, then a completely different policy with the minorities, starting with the Serbs of Kosovo. Without leaving behind the business and the oligarchs. With whom a transparent and normal dialogue can be held. Since they are important interest groups for the country, no matter how much you may not like them.
Otherwise, chaos and stagnation will leave the country far behind; without allies, investments, and of course without hope. There will be no interest or importance in which force will come to power. The collapse will be fatal! /Pamphlet
