And precisely at this moment, serious and real actors who consider themselves in the opposition cannot wait. Lulzim Basha in the first place...
In principle, it should take the initiative of the political debate of transformation and opening of the opposition.
If in 1991, Ramiz Alia set up an organizing committee for calling the 10th Congress of ALP, Lulzim Basha should do more or less the same. It should now call not a congress, as it may seem an archaic term, but a Constituent Church of the opposition. Where the names of the organizers must be important figures acceptable to the entire public.
This can also be done by asking and discussing with DP structures throughout the country. An Assembly of intellectuals, where more than choosing who will be the new leader, discuss the fate of the country from the point of view of a serious and responsible center-right opposition.
Just as Dritëro Agolli in the 10th congress of PPSh in a certain way tried the communist nomenclature; the intellectuals of this constitutional church to publicly judge that caste that today lives in luxury, disconnected from people and reality. But above all to discuss the ideas, ways and reforms that the state will undertake after the departure of Edi Rama.
Undoubtedly, the biggest burden of this organization will be borne by those democrats who managed to win against Sali Berisha of Foltores, but the opposition is not only a group of sections.
Lulzim Basha may have 1, 2, 3 or 10 ideas for his state and the reformation of the political class, but in order to become more comprehensive, he must expand the scope of the discussion.
However good the thoughts may be, they are not taken as a basis when unfolded in a closed environment, and even more so with a low radius of public trust.
In a word, the opposition must open the gates, risking the future of its leading elite. Start a new election process, including in the first place the leader of the opposition and the candidate for prime minister in the next elections. Let Basha remain chairman of the pro-Western DP, but he must offer a process outside the sections and group sections of his party. If in a vote, which could be a primary, or even in a public poll, after coming out of a discussion process, he himself emerges as a candidate, even better. But it is enough to increase the range of social and political action of the opposition community.
Since 2021, the opposition has been in the media spotlight every day, but the lack of a real debate and discussion is punishing it.
Basha has his ideas, which he says he has discussed with grassroots democrats, but today they are not a group that can attract society. PD should call, (the methods are different), actors who are ready to supply ideas and discuss a new political decalogue with the Albanians. So that the country has an alternative opposition that can come to power.
It may happen that in this process, Basha is not ranked as the most preferred candidate for the future prime minister, but in the end this does not matter. There should be a person who is voted for, not produced by the chancellor and the media cave. Otherwise, we will have Edi Rama and his political theater marionettes for years and years. / Pamphlet
