What is happening with the scandals in Albanian society is neither the beginning nor the end of our decadence. It is a continuous and daily process, which did not start with the last event where, unfortunately, the protagonists are 3 women. There are dozens of cases like this that are not reported, or not known at all, that happen in neighborhoods of the capital or small towns.
And this is not a coincidence or a fluke of a period. But it is the result of a mindset that has been nurtured for a long time as a way of life. The media and especially the social networks raised this way and form from the corners of the neighborhoods to a public and social dimension. The thirst to earn money and fame, accompanied by cultural poverty, has brought the audiovisual media, i.e. TV, into a feverish competition with what is known on the other hand as online media that have their source of reference from social networks that have turned the country into the cultural context in a "social need".
So there is a lot of promotion of violence, promotion of prostitution, promotion of undeserved and unearned wealth, unbridled luxury, mainly social models that address the wrong way of life. Furthermore, the referred models are the epitome of ignorance, who are given media space to promote their vanity, which in fact, due to a pointless mass public curiosity, have been transformed into so-called VIPs. So why does society pretend to be surprised when these scandals happen, when in fact they are expected and quite natural with this banal social habitat that has been created?!
Hasn't it been wrongly addressed how unqualified and undeserving people, because of the spaces that the system allows, benefit and get rich quickly and abusively?! Doesn't the public sit for hours in front of the TV or click on every bombastic headline on the portals that they see every moment through smartphones, to find out who connected with whom and who broke up with whom, who was beaten by whom and who challenged insulting and slandering anyone, in television programs or informational spaces, without any substance or human and community values.
The moment has hit me to be in the hospital for family reasons. I tell you with conviction and facts that many of you do not know that there is another reality beyond the banal and superficial one brought by the media. In the hospital wards, there are many young girls and boys who work as nurses or doctors and they are fantastic. I have seen them, I have met and known them, I have talked with them. They really exist. They are an exceptional model accompanied by values. I have seen their excellent professional skills, but above all the dedication and human patience they have towards each patient and especially towards the elderly who are more difficult to manage.
They are the fantastic social model, they are the example of how work and experience give value and dignity. They are also young, they have dreams and desires, they have passions and feelings, but these do not dominate or unbalance their basic goals in life. I have seen them wake up without sleep and in the morning without sleep again be a soft and empathetic voice for the sick. They have found the balance between what they want and what they have to do.
I am surprised by the fact that there is another youth beyond ignorance, vanity, the model that wakes up and sleeps with the intention of how to do my hair, where will I get the next tattoo, who will be the next lover or lover. But these models that I'm talking about that actually exist are invisible because the media doesn't go there to them.
No attention is paid to them and their values. Doctor Margarita Gjata, head of the Internal Medicine ward at QSUT, tells me while I talk to her, expressing my surprise at this wonderful reality, that my staff is good, and when she says this, I notice that she expresses it and feels a kind of pride. In fact, they are not just good, as the doctor who has taught and educated generations of doctors from the banks of the medical university says.
They are simply fantastic models. Girls and boys who save and care for people's lives. Isn't it a miracle to see and know that they exist and that they are not fake models, or fake weekend TV models?! They are social models that make you say that beyond the stinking wounds of society, which are faked with media make-up, there are extraordinary social and human values. How many young people work in other professions that no one talks about in the media.
There are young people who enter mining galleries, there are young people who work in service networks, tailors, butchers, car repair shops, there are other young people who excel in IT or scientific professions and many, many eyes. But no, there is no place for them in the media, because their place is occupied by the rich barbos with ignorance and the girl models who say that they need 5 thousand euros per month to be in the necessary conditions that female escorting requires.
So if the reference to social models will not change, having no scoping purpose and scandals that produce clicks and views, nothing will change, society will degrade worse and deeper. The good is there, it simply needs to be given its rightful place, society absorbs what it offers!
