Supposedly patriotism shows the deficit of love for our homeland Albania and the new Kosovo that are already filled with the wounds of thieves much more than the past. But there is no place for all this on the fans' banners, making us as primitive as the Serbian nationalists...
Shortly before the start of the World Cup qualifier football match between Albania and Serbia, the director tried to include in the frame the stylish girls of the screen (with no value for today's dead end of Albanian society), the Albanian personalities and VIPs, who had occupied the main seats in the Air Albania stadium. The only thing they will remember is that they got tickets instead of the many sports fans, sports connoisseurs and specialists who remained to watch the match on TV.
Without taking on the task of explaining the ticket distribution policy of the Football Federation, I am personally impressed by how it happens that a supposedly privileged group always receives tickets to every sporting or cultural activity, without having any value or having conveyed any message to Albanian society. Ticket prices are a way of looking at the appreciation for people in our society, but also a process that serves to see the unrealistic social hierarchy in the country. We are not dealing with names, as some media have done and will do in detail, but it is tiring that the sporting and cultural excitement is conveyed in the front row by people who do not arouse any emotion.
And, most tiresome of all, the supposed patriotism and the roar of drums and whistles against an opponent who now represents nothing to be remembered for in football. On the other hand, the patriotic complex by blowing off steam over opponents who are defeated and have come out of the war with a bang is excessive. Remember the order that the German military authority gave to the Serbs: You have one hour to leave. And, when the Serbian colleague asked for clarification, the military man said: Now and ... minutes! And our memory of what the Serbs did in the late '90s should be a way to see ourselves so that we do not repeat the past, filled with pogrom, death and trauma, but are awake in Kosovo and Albania.
Meanwhile, the review of this time, the failure to find the missing, the lack of empathy for the KLA people who are in The Hague and above all the failure to see what is happening in Kosovo makes this supposed patriotism tiresome and contrived. We would be credible if we were just as nationalistic against Turkey, which has reduced us to the centuries we are today; Italy, which burned and occupied us; Germany, which plowed Albania in World War II. But there is no place for this in the banners of patriotism. For Albanians and Serbs on the other side, there are still sources who are eager to have this relationship so that our countries can live in this darkness, even though traders and investors of the two countries (with their intelligence they continue) work undisturbed, artists collaborate regularly, while athletes everywhere collaborate. Albania has some of them on our teams and even good protagonists. It seems that patriotism was forgotten a few hours after the match, in reality when Albania and Kosovo cannot conclude their electoral processes with their political institutions after 1 month and 4 months respectively. It seems that patriotism does not find a word for the thieves of our two countries, who steal from us and who enrich themselves before our eyes and who do not get a thorn in their side.
Supposedly patriotism shows the deficit of love for our homeland Albania and the new Kosovo that are already filled with the wounds of thieves much more than the old ones. But for all this there is no place on the fans' banners, making us as primitive as the Serbian nationalists who know nothing about Albanians and shout in vain, together with Vučić who led his representative as if before a war! And that in the end in Tirana the theater was filled with many pretenders who were able to get tickets simply because they appear and say the brats on TV or who are known from social media and are needed by the conjunctures of the head of the Federation. But this is another space, where the Duke is king, the almighty of the Federation and everything related to Albanian football... with the ticket prices, belongs simply to him and no one else.
