The defense he makes today for himself, with the claim that he is allowing justice to act, unlike his predecessor who blocked investigations, is only cynical and ridiculous, since a government is not measured by the violations of someone else, but by how much it manages to be itself accountable and how much he manages to bear political responsibility...
After the poetic stance on the granting of permission by the Assembly for the arrest of his former deputy, Arben Ahmetaj, and after boasting that he will allow an investigation for exponents of the majority, but without asking for any public apology for the choice of collaborators who are ending up behind bars, it remains to ask Rama to clarify:
With how many arrested ministers, MPs and mayors do we have to hold him accountable as prime minister? Need 30? Do you need 40? Or do they need more people to be caught stealing, violating and beating citizens for him to admit that his government has failed?
Is the prime minister responsible for promising a government that will act based on the law, while ministers, deputies and former mayors are today under accusations of corruption and public abuse of offices?
Does he feel responsible today for protecting Tahir, Rroshi, Rraja, and many others, as happened with the commission for incinerators, where he went to the Parliament accusing the opposition MPs of making political attacks?
Does Rama feel responsible for attacking people in uniform, like Zagani and Nuhu, who denounced the violations of officials, and today they are immigrants with political status because of his attacks?
The defense he makes today for himself, with the claim that he is allowing justice to act, unlike his predecessor who blocked investigations, is only cynical and ridiculous, since a government is not measured by the violations of someone else, but by how much it manages to be itself accountable and how much he manages to bear political responsibility.
No one can say that those accused stole for Rama or on his orders. But everyone has the right to ask only one person to bear political and moral responsibility, and that is Edi Rama!
