The creation of double standards in the judgment of high officials is a serious problem, since this very standard then creates that barren debate, why only arrest from the SP and not from the DP.
The latest arrest warrant for Arben Ahmetaj, the former deputy prime minister of Albania, has added to the voices that "predict" or demand that the justice act and to the accusations left unanswered for the main leaders of the opposition. Some of them even make predictions about which of them can be investigated.
This is somehow experienced as a consolation to balance the blows against the left in power, which are in different ranks, in different forms and with different and often contradictory rationales.
For a society that seeks to establish a "new order" of justice, the demand for political balancing of accusations in a statistical way is a mistake. It is even a disguised form of old justice, which made political calculations when it acted. And after making a few political points, he then had a calling card to wreak havoc in the rest of the history of justice.
From the way the new justice is operating for the investigations, I don't see a problem with the fact that it only acts against the socialists in power. After all, they are easier targets to investigate and judge since they are governing.
What he sees as a problem is the precedents they create with the investigation and punishment of corruption, which creates the idea of selective attitudes politically influenced.
I don't see any problem why only socialists are investigated and tried, but why for a criminal offense that a socialist is investigated, another socialist or former democratic official is not affected, or not investigated at all.
I have no hope that the new justice will investigate on January 21. I know you mentioned their reasons. A lot of time has passed, the bullet was damaged, the weapon was changed, Berisha was not investigated in time, etc. The most serious event in the history of Albania in 33 years of pluralism, i.e. the shooting of four unarmed and harmless demonstrators on the main boulevard, is ignored as if nothing happened and the main argument is that 12 years have passed, while Vangjush Dako is arrested as a former mayor of Durrës, that in 2010 he gave a construction permit which was then violated by the builder and floors were built without permission.
How is it possible that for a "crime" of 2010 there is no legal deadline to investigate and convict 8 people, why did they allow four floors without permission and for the murder of four people, for which the prime minister boasts that he did it knowingly , responsibility is avoided and no one dares to investigate.
It is the only case in the world, I believe, excluding any dictatorship, that a prime minister has killed live, boasted live and manipulated live in that crime and has not been called after 12 years even for a question session.
So what standard does Dako's arrest set? He "non grata", Berisha "non grata". He is arrested for murder without permission, Berisha is not arrested for murder with permission.
The standard I set is that an urban crime of 2010 can be investigated, but not a murder crime of 2011. This is about the topic of burning deadlines.

Ndërkohë tre ditë më parë pashë një lajm që të dëshpëron dhe më shumë për dy lloj standarte. Ish- kryebashkiaku i Fushë Arrëzit është vënë në pranga se ka lejuar ndërtimin e një rruge fshati me fonde të mbledhura nga komuniteti dhe u ka vënë në dispozicion fadromën e Bashkisë. Jam i sigurt se ky është një “krim” që e kanë bërë 99 për qind e bashkiakëve të Shqipërisë që kanë zona malore në administrim, duke bërë rrugë rurale në ndihmë të komunitetit. Aq më tepër kur ata i mbledhin vetë shumicën e parave. Atëherë ose duhen futur në burg të gjithë, ose kemi drejtësi selektive. Nuk ka rëndësi nëse ai është i PS. Ka dhjetëra bashkiakë të PD që e kanë bërë po këtë gjë me shumë qejf.
Krijimi i standardeve të dyfishta në gjykimin e zyrtarëve të lartë, është problem serioz, pasi pikërisht ky standard krijon pastaj atë debatin shterp, pse arrestoni vetëm nga PS e jo nga PD.
Për mua ky nuk është debat real. Mund të ndodhë që të arrestohen vetëm nga PS dhe ky nuk është asnjë problem. Por jo me precedentë me të cilët mund të fusësh në burg gjithë PD dhe PS që ka qenë dhe një ditë në pushtet.
Nëse dënon një bashkiak pse ka lejuar shtesë pa leje, atëherë fusni në burg Edi Ramën, Erion Veliaj, Lulzim Bashën dhe gjithë bashkiakët e Shqipërisë. Të gjithëve u janë ndërtuar kate pa leje.
Nëse mendoni se duhet futur në burg një kryebashkiak i një zone malore se ka ndihmuar në hapjen e një rruge me lekë të qytetarëve, atëherë futini të gjithë në burg ata që e kanë bërë këtë gjë dhe do ngeleni pa asnjë bashkiak në zyra.
