When arrests are sold as success!

If high-level arrests are sold for successes, we are accepting them as successes, but it is better not to repeat them.

There is a heated competition within the ruling majority as to who will praise the justice reform the most. Even when they are caught, as they say in Kosovo, "with mare in hand", the next pearl is: "let justice do its job". Even when the affair is muuu- the answer is principled: every person is innocent until the court declares him guilty".

The peak of irony is the boast that "justice is hitting people in power". And what people?! "Justice reform" is being praised so much in this direction that it seems that ministers, general secretaries of ministries, directors and inspectors of all ranks, mayors and officials of every category have received orders to passionately engage in who commits the corrupt act more spectacular, so that the new justice can start the coup from power.

At this point it is not that there are no results. For a decade, Albania has been at number one or taking steps behind in Transparency International's anti-corruption ranking.

But this plan, which sells high-level arrests as a success, has a problem of proportionality. If affairs and scandals are not absent at any level, if corruption is both capillary and elite, if custom laws are evidence of state capture, on the other side (of justice) we have a big problem. Lack of capacities.

If every week the place of the bulletins of the glorious inspections of construction sites where people work day and night is taken by the next scandal, it should be remembered that Albania has a limited number of prosecutors, judges and ...prisons. There is no place for everyone.

In the efforts to perfect and deepen the art of scandal, some essentials of justice have been forgotten.

Wouldn't it be a logical solution for the governors to be less involved in corrupt practices and instead of affairs to focus on the needs of the voters? Even justice is facilitated and the "servants" in power serve their "masters".

Isn't it time to give up the race to see who breaks the law and defy logic to give a handful of prosecutors time to do other things?

The ministers of this government are publicly expressing the desire that "justice also acts against the previous government". Two things must be remembered. The previous government has been in opposition for 10 years. Let justice investigate 2012, even 1912, if Ismail Qemali took the carriage that traveled from Durrës to Vlorë with a tender, with PPP or with an unsolicited offer. Definitely investigate everything. But first stop the violence. Justice is not a time machine that turns it back with a spring. For the ship of justice to go to the other shore (to the opposition), the dirty side of the government must be cleaned. The best way to clean it is not to make it dirty with pears, apples or peaches... And the government has this in hand with all the instruments it has. Otherwise, justice is open to the job.

If week seven and eight is a scandal, you will not allow time for justice to go to 2012.

If high-level arrests are sold for successes, we are accepting them as successes, but it is better not to repeat them.
