"Verification" question marks for Nesti Angoni

First, the non-existent person Nesti Angoni has signed.

There is a great debate among lawyers who have bombarded me with recommendations and opinions about Nesti Angoni's "anonymous" report as a fabricated practice to take a person under investigation for political reasons or personal grudges, as is the case with Erion Veliaj. Many of them say that there is every legal basis to file a lawsuit against the prosecutor for initiating an illegal criminal proceeding. Others say that a parliamentary investigation is needed because this fundamentally affects the security that the legal system provides for citizens.

There are also others who personalize it with the fact that the prosecutor is a Berisha soldier, involved in a political scheme to hit one of his opponents, in order for SPAK to compensate for the bad relations with Berisha. And apparently, these two days he has improved, since SPAK has been declared a "cultural monument protected by Berisha" by the "criminal organization".

I don't have the legal authority to choose who is right among them, so it's best to make the debate public and not in my inbox.

What I see as completely suspicious is not only the fabrication of an anonymous letter, but also its legitimization as a complaint.

First, the non-existent person Nesti Angoni signed. I published his signature yesterday. So, we have a living person who signed a letter and delivered it to SPAK in person, not by mail. This is what is said in the description of the court's decision for the accuser Angoni.

This means that we have a person who physically went to SPAK on July 23, signed a letter and left. He even gave his home address: "5 Maji Neighborhood No. 71, Tirana". They chose the address thematically, since there have been conflicts with the Municipality in the "5 Maji" block.

I sent journalists there, but they found nothing. I invite other journalist colleagues to go and look for him, especially those who are very informed about Nesti Angoni.

The first verification that SPAK should have done was his signature and address. Instead, SPAK verified that there is a citizen Gentian Sula, who according to the Central Bank is employed by AgiKons.

It has also been verified that there is a citizen Gentiana Sulaj, who is employed as the Director of the Institute for State Security Documents. There is also a citizen Erion Veliaj, employed at the Municipality, and a citizen Ajola Xoxe, employed at a law firm. And that they know each other.

After this, the investigation began.

Nesti Angoni's physical denunciation is not one of those intelligence crimes that are barely detected. There are cameras in SPAK, there is the person who delivered the letter, there is also an address, a signature and the person who recorded it.

These are first verified as to whether they exist or not, then the real existence of the people he mentions is verified.

The fact that SPAK states in the summary of its decision that "citizen Nesti Angoni does not exist", while he has physically submitted the request to SPAK and provided an address, is sufficient to believe that Nesti Angoni is a SPAK prosecutor or that SPAK has launched a completely illegal investigation, not essentially consuming the verification process, but justifying it with a verification of the names of those mentioned in the letter.

And this is a very serious matter.

This is actually a process known as a "fishing expedition", or to translate it more clearly into Albanian, a "witch hunt", an expression used to describe a search or investigation that is done simply to see if something compromising can be found.

And this is not the first practice carried out by SPAK. Now it is becoming a tradition. This is the most flagrant, as it is not their direct initiative, but disguised behind the invention of an anonymous person, whom they even admit does not exist, but take for granted and begin the investigation.

I'm not saying what Paloka says, that "we were the first to find out about his arrest and notified the group," or the fact that the search of Veliaj's apartment took place a day after Berisha apologized to Olsi Dado, who had falsely attacked him for his connections to Durres gangs.

These remain to be seen, as the fact that the Toyota Yaris file, declared a state secret by SPAK, is known only by two prosecutors, Judge Bano and Sali Berisha, would suffice.

So, either the judge or one of the two prosecutors have sent the file to Berisha, and we are told "if you publish it, you will go to prison". While Berisha reads it every day and is applauded.

That file, in fact, blows up the entire integrity of SPAK, because when it becomes public, it will turn out that SPAK has tolerated prosecutors involved in criminal activity within it, and has declared it a "state secret", while legitimizing as truth a piece of paper with lies from a non-existent person.

All of this shows that there is a major distortion of professional integrity within the institution, a political misuse of information and investigation, and above all an attempt to do politics with justice.

The goal of the new justice system was that politics should not interfere with justice, and it should not, but if justice interferes with politics, then of course they are not separate powers, but rival ones.

And of course, rivals will clash.
