In the eighties, there was a competition between a rhapsody from Lezha and another from Mirdita to see who could write the best lyrics for the Gjirokastra Festival. The one from Mirdita was more famous for his pathetic lyrics, while the one from Lezha was more famous for his combination of patriotism and communism. And both told legends about how they had tried to steal their songs.
One day, this rhapsody from Lezha was telling his friends that, while walking through the streets of Rrëshen, he felt someone taking his file from under his arm, and he pulled out his pistol and pointed it at his forehead. It was the one he thought of: Mirdita's rival.
One of the participants in the conversation, who was making fun of the two rhapsodes' delirium, said calmly:
– Why didn't he let her steal it, man, because that way he was sure to lose the Festival.
I remembered this story, which was told with great humor in those years, when I heard that Berisha began his speech about the program by praising it as being so good that the SP wanted to steal it, but it is unknown why he gave up.
In fact, Berisha's program, besides not being a program, as it is a menu of promises from the extreme left, is a wish fulfillment for every person for whatever they ask for, and as such it is written on a case-by-case basis.
Do you remember that scene with the dividend tax? He gathered businessmen and told them: we'll make it 10 percent.
"Yes, we have 8 percent," said the businessman next to him.
– Right? Then we'll remove it, we'll study it.
So at this point, he is inimitable, as it is a program that is developed day by day by listening to people's wishes. The only serious thing was the Ministry of Family and there he could put his son, or his son's daughter-in-law, as a minister, to legitimize the nature of his power.
The reason why Edi Rama gave up on "copying" this program has many similarities to that anecdote told between two rhapsodes. In this case, LaCivita should have stood up and said to Berisha:
– Why didn't you let him steal it, Mr. Berisha, because he was certain to lose?
