But where is it said that when a friend, even if he has committed a crime or made a mistake, let alone when nothing of the kind has been communicated to him yet, ends up in prison, in detention, locked up in a castle, or in a concentration camp, in a psychiatric hospital, or in a school for vagrants, it is forbidden, immoral, vile, to go and see him!
We've been kissing for two or three days.
We attack Robert Ndrenika because he went to Erion Veliaj's courtroom, kissed him on the forehead, under the benevolent gaze of the policeman, preceded several other "brothers", and even articulated the theatrical tirade about what was left for him to do in prison, he would take it upon himself, like Ago Ymeri from the old fairy tale, he would do it for him!
For me, the real event wasn't Robert's kiss at all, but the behavior of the kind-hearted and brave policeman! But be patient, I'll tell you why!
That's how much the kettle had to boil! I am a supporter of the fire that makes the kettle boil, starting with social networks. If we were to put professional media and social networks in today's balance, as a technician I would choose the former, but as a citizen the latter.
Thanks to technology!
What didn't they say to the actor who has given so much to Albanian theater and cinematography! They didn't leave a biography unwritten. They even listed the roles he played in the socialist realist drama of the prefect, the sub-prefect, and others!
I said that high school textbooks are crap! Let alone that there are no aesthetic textbooks at all, as if we are educating non-Albanian barbarians of the 21st century!!!
The actor is not judged for the profile of the character he creates, my dear! He executes the script, as conceived by the director, the author, if desired, the artistic council, or even the party organization in some regimes! The actor on stage does not play himself, not even the character he wants!
If that were the case, we would also attack Charlie Chaplin because he portrayed Hitler as very funny, playing and making games with the Globe as a ball, as if he were Messi!
There are stages in the history of theater when European audiences in the 19th century often mistook theater drama for real events. Actors playing negative roles were escorted out the back door of the building for fear of being beaten by the crowd waiting outside.
It was famous when mass cinema came to Albania. There were spectators who shouted at the shadows on the screen: O scoundrel! O traitor! Or they encouraged them: Kisseeee! Or they shouted: Killeeee!
The lack of distinction between theatrical play and reality is a psychological slip at the beginning of theater. Art is a play between truth that seems untrue and untruth that seems true! But, in this dialectic, it is easy to take one for the other. To take theater for real life, and to take real life for theater!
Siiiii? Puthi Erion Veliajn? Në sallën e gjyqit? Ja pra ku e justifikoi korrupsionin e Erionit! Ju intelektualët mbështesni njëri tjetrin hë!
Po prisni more pak!
Why when we say to someone: Gouge out your eye! - Do we really want to eat it? But when we say: I'd die for you!, are we serious or are we making a play? Indeed, we all stage our own theatrical play for days (Goffman), but we are not all actors like Ndrenika! We don't even come close to him at this point!
What was significant to me was the kind-hearted policeman's behavior. He welcomed everyone warmly, those who came to meet the accused, kissed him, like Robert. The brave policeman even took care to find a place for them to sit, to arrange them and make them comfortable in the chairs!!!
That figure shocked me because it was a symbol of something that no one articulates, not analysts, not Erion's former party friends and comrades, not his former close associates, friends in the municipality, not even Erion himself!
That police courtesy, I believe in circumventing and bypassing the law, seemed to say: This guy has really been punished! His party and municipality, his advisors have thrown him away! What does the declaration of a vacant position in violation of the law and the constitution, where in addition to the prime minister, the president was also included, prove? A decision annulled by the Constitutional Court. But, it is ours too! Here the police behave friendly, they do not have the coldness and cynical distancing of the law!
You are ours, but in the defendant's cell!
You are accused, we have thrown you out, but you are ours!
Because I remembered the old days when senior cadres of the dictatorship knew in prison that they were convicted, but they also remained members of the party!
They were pushing the time between despair and hope! Ours, but in prison, in prison, but ours!
Legally, the issue is clear! Robert's kiss doesn't solve it at all. Justice will speak. That justice that it is. Here, but also elsewhere, I believe!
Without getting involved in state affairs, knowing that he could not benefit anything else from his friend, Robert again found himself next to him! Say what you will! Today it is rare that when a foot slips, gratitude or friendship is preserved! There are no baskets of figs, there are no friends! Robert went against this!
Why did he go against the grain? It is difficult for everyone to understand that the intellectual who has a life that he lives as such, the artist in this case, is free, completely free! He does not ask at all what the majority says. He is not subject to voting at all. Even less about his behavior. He is even tempted by going against the grain, he gets an adrenaline rush! It was not in vain that those who have defined the intellectual, perhaps for hundreds of years, perhaps thousands, as someone who opposes what is common, average, ordinary, that seems natural, why not even moral. Even more so an actor who professionally plays with his spectators, are not the spectators who play with him.
Politically, the situation is unclear because it is paradoxical: Erion Veliaj is between being ours (theirs) and accused!
This throws the policeman's behavior into disarray! He vacillates between the cold-blooded law-abiding and the kind and generous host of the accused's friends!
