The vote gap between the SP and the DP is deepening further!

In summary, as participation in domestic elections declines, votes for the DP&etc continue to decline at much more pronounced rates.

A recent poll showed that today the DP coalition has dropped to a quota of 54 votes within the country for every 100 votes of the SP (i.e., the SP votes are today almost double the votes of the DP coalition). While other small parties have dropped to 11 votes for every 100 votes of the SP (see the graph below).

Just eight months ago, the DP-ASHM coalition received 66 votes domestically for every 100 votes of the SP. While small parties received 26 votes for every 100 votes of the SP.

As a result, the SP secured a full 82 parliamentary seats in May from local votes and another 1 (in the Vlora Region) from postal votes from emigrants. Meanwhile, the DP coalition barely secured 50 seats, while smaller parties secured a total of 7 seats.

Four years ago, when voter turnout here was much higher, the gap in votes and mandates between the SP and the PD&etc was quite narrow (at that time the opposition was officially led by Basha).

In summary, as participation in domestic elections declines, votes for the DP&etc continue to decline at much more pronounced rates.

As a result, if elections were held today, the SP could secure more parliamentary mandates than it received last year, while the PD&etc. could secure even fewer than they received last year.

The vote gap between the SP and the DP is deepening further!
