The year 2023 would be the best year in the history of Albania. It could be the year of the opening of negotiations for one or two chapters of integration, it could be the year of political peace and model elections, it could be the year of economic growth, it could be the year that the lek was a little more merciful to the euro and the dollar. But no. We have it in our DNA that just when we need to put water on the fire, we take the water and put out the fire.
2023 is a year full of important events that culminates with the Berlin Process being held for the first time in a Balkan country, and this country is Albania; it is the year of the announcement of the closure of the Open Balkans, it is the year where we are being invaded by foreign tourists, but unfortunately all these epochal events are being overshadowed by the scandals that are sprouting like mushrooms after the spring rain. And this whole situation with scandals that follow and cover each other is because of a cleaner. Yes, yes, if it wasn't for the cleaning lady, we would be: "where did I go?"
Do you remember the first month of the year, January? What about the first week of January? This is exactly where Albania's tragedy begins. A cleaning lady was found with 420 thousand euros in the stove pipe. This scandal is the source of all other scandals, in medical terms it is patient zero.
From this scandal we have all the bad things that don't seem like they will go away easily.
To cover this scandal was not easy, because this was not an event that is made into movies, it exceeded even the fantasy of Hollywood screenwriters. To cover up this tragedy, the government staged another "scandal"... the blocking of the parliamentary investigative commission on the issue of the Prime Minister's charter. The idea was that scandal number 2 (S2) would make scandal number 1 be forgotten. And after Scandal number 3, (S3) would come S4 and so on.
After the charter case, in collaboration with the internationals, to forget S2 and S1, came the McGonnigal case. It is certain that this issue will be made into a movie, but S3 had to be covered as soon as possible with S4 which was akt1visti, an application that eavesdrops on users' online lives and distributes propaganda. For real-life interceptions, the S5 was activated, the surveillance cameras with which crime controlled the police.
To create confusion S6, the arrest of the secretary general of the Ministry of Finance was combined in one day with S7, the publication of the Prime Minister's charter flights.
S8, the publication of Transparency International's report, came up empty as it was known and expected by all that Albania would be ranked as the most corrupt country in the region. S9, the registration in SPAK of the criminal proceedings of Arben Ahmetaj was made on February 7, exactly one month after Scandal 0, the cleaner. The coverage of S9 exceeded S10, the murder without perpetrator of a 22-year-old Kenyan woman in Tirana.
It must be admitted that the covering effect on S9 was weak and only the killing of three women in the capital and the wounding of three others made it possible to obscure S1-S10.
The announcement to double the price of patents backfired, and only the announcement by the DEA, the US drug enforcement agency, inviting citizens to report had the expected effect. It should be noted that this announcement came on March 6, two months after the cleaning scandal.

Ndryshimi i pritshëm i ligjit për Akademinë e Shkencave nuk ka vlerë para asaj që mund të ndodhë nesër.
Thus, all the blame for the scandals with a capital S lies with the cleaning lady. If we didn't have the issue of the cleaner today, we would only be talking about the cleanliness of the beaches.
