The weapons cache discovered in Tirana belongs to a former member of the Armed Forces. According to sources, Oltjan Qershori was previously part of the army, but was expelled for improper behavior a few years ago.
The agents of the Police Station No. 1 had information that Qershori had an unlicensed “Sharrz” weapon and organized the operation. But when they arrived at his house in Picallë, the 41-year-old saw the police cars with police flags and ran away.
They later found the entire arsenal at home and only his mother inside, who initially claimed that the weapons were not theirs.
June does not result in a recorded precedent, but suspicions are strong that he was collaborating with criminal groups to sell them.
