Greek police have recovered the murder weapon suspected of being used in the murder of a 44-year-old Albanian man in Greece, who was found dead in a stable in the Messinia region. The victim had a head wound, while the circumstances of the incident remain unclear.
It is reported that the gun belongs to the elderly owner of the stable, the father of a 50-year-old woman. The latter, along with her partner, are the people who found the 44-year-old's body.
According to Greek media, authorities are examining two main leads: murder or suicide. Forensic expertise is expected to play a key role in determining the exact cause of death.
Three people, who are suspected of knowing the victim, have been questioned by police as part of the investigation. Meanwhile, numerous police forces have surrounded the scene of the incident from the very beginning, collecting material evidence and footage from security cameras in the area.
The goal of investigators is to reconstruct the victim's last movements and identify any people who may be connected to the incident.
The victim was not a resident of the Kalamata area, but lived in Corinth. According to reports, he had previously had problems with the law, having been arrested several years ago for cultivating cannabis.
