A serious incident happened in Kruja where a 42-year-old woman allegedly gave birth to the baby in the apartment and threw it into the river.
The young woman was arrested by the police after the macabre act. Leta Koçi claimed that she was born dead, put her in a bag and then threw her on the bank of the Tapiza river.
"Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Krujë Police Station, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, arrested the citizen LK, 42 years old, resident in Tapizë, for the criminal offense of "Murder of a baby".
This citizen, today, around morning hours, it is suspected that after giving birth to the baby in the premises of her apartment, claiming that it was stillborn, she put it in a bag and then threw it on the bank of the river Tapestry.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
