A photo of the Kalashnikov-type automatic weapon used in the attempted robbery of a second-tier bank in the Delijorgji area of Tirana has been published.
It is reported that the weapon was seized at the scene after immediate police intervention, which made it possible to neutralize and arrest the perpetrator, identified as Bardhyl Fusha.
Bardhyl Fusha entered the bank with a bag where he was going to put the money and a knife, even unmasked.
It is learned that the perpetrator fired a gun once inside the bank premises, but was neutralized by police officers. He did not manage to take any money from the bank, and his handcuffs were placed on the outside door of the bank. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Police are continuing their investigations to fully document the incident and clarify the motives for the attempted robbery.
