Albanian man in England sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in prison for

An Albanian man in England was sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in prison after sending messages about selling cocaine to a WhatsApp group where he had mistakenly added a probation officer.

Urim Pomari had recently been released from pre-trial detention and was under the supervision of the probation service, where he was required to report every week. Two weeks after his release, he created a WhatsApp group and sent a message offering doses of cocaine for sale. In the message, he also used a snowflake emoji, a symbol used as a code for the drug.

He mistakenly included the phone number of his probation officer in the group. After receiving the message, authorities intervened and searched Pomari's apartment in Ipswich.

During the search, police found cocaine, a dosing scale and £1,255 in cash. The materials were seized as evidence in the investigation.

During the announcement of the decision, the court assessed that Pomari's actions showed a lack of care and an irresponsible manner of acting in the illegal activity.

The court sentenced Pomari to 2 years and 4 months in prison for involvement in the distribution of narcotics.
