A momentary conflict between two friends from Tropoja who had settled in Kamëz turned into a tragedy after Arlind Demushi stabbed Hajdar Ismailgeci, known as "Bali" for short.
The file provided by journalist Elton Qyno provides the full dynamics of this serious event. The victim Ismailgeci had been staying in the apartment of the perpetrator of the crime, Arlind Demushi, for some time, after coming from Tropoja and staying temporarily until he found a rented apartment.
Every evening, the two friends would sit in the neighborhood bars and drink coffee together. This was also the case on the night of the crime, where Demushi and Ismailgeci each consumed coffee and a double shot of raki.
After they finished, Arlind Demushi said that they left the bar and gave 10,000 old lek to his friend at home, Hajdar Ismailgeci, so that the latter could go buy bread.
While he himself went ahead to go home. But when he realized that Ismailgeci was late, he called him to ask where he was and why he was late, since he was waiting for him at home.
But according to his account, Ismailgeci told him during the conversation: "...go away, don't make me drink..." Arlind Demushi got angry and asked him to meet at a nearby bar to clarify things.
He arrived at the bar and ordered a double shot of raki. His friend from home, Hajdar Ismailgeci, also went to the bar and ordered a double shot of raki.
Police have seized video footage of the bar where the perpetrator and the victim are seen sitting at one of the tables. According to Demushi's testimony, Ismailgeci, during the conversation, started to raise his voice and scream.
Demushi asked them to go outside and explain what he had said to her, "...go away, don't make me cry..." But as they left the bar and went to a toy corner nearby, Ismailgeci began to insult and punch him.
According to Arlind Demushi, "Bali" pulled out a knife and tried to stab him with it. But he managed to take it away and then shot him in the groin.
In his testimony, Arlind Demushi said that he was unable to remember where he was hit, as he ran away and went to Durrës.
He was arrested in Durrës in the early hours of the morning, and the Tirana court has now ordered the security measure "prison arrest". /Syri.net
