After the one in Vlora, another weapons depot was discovered in Durrës, which was used to supply criminal groups.
A weapons base that supplied ammunition to criminal groups has been discovered by the Durrës Police. An operation codenamed "Hills" ended with the arrest of the citizens, Hekuran Troplini, 20 years old, and Emiljano Pasha, 19 years old, both residents of Shkallnur village, Durrës.
From the investigations, it is suspected that these citizens, in cooperation with other citizens, during the last months, have sold quantities of weaponry and military ammunition.
The police seized 4 Kalashnikov firearms, 20 combs, hundreds of ammunition, 4 mobile phones, 1 motorcycle, a quantity of suspected cannabis and a sum of money.
" Following successive attacks on the possession of weapons without a permit and the prevention of criminal events, the specialists of the Anti-Illegal Trafficking Sector of DVP Durrës, based on police intelligence, referred to two citizens who kept a quantity of hidden weapons and sold them to criminal groups the materials in the Prosecutor's Office, which registered the criminal proceedings.
As a result of several months of investigation with proactive methods and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, legal evidence was provided on the criminal activity of keeping a quantity of weapons, with the aim of supplying criminal groups.
In this context and in implementation of the national operational plan "Rule of Law", the services of the Illegal Traffic Section, in cooperation with the services of the Special Operational Force of DVP Durrës, finalized the coded police operation "Hills".
During the operation, the citizens were arrested red-handed in the village of Shkallnur, selling Kalashnikov combat firearms:
HT, 20 years old and EP, 19 years old, both residents of Shkallnur village, Durres.
From the investigations, it is suspected that these citizens, in cooperation with other citizens, during the last months, have sold quantities of weaponry and military ammunition.
As material evidence, 4 Kalashnikov firearms with 20 combs, hundreds of ammunition, 1 motorcycle used to move and transport weapons and ammunition, with the purpose of sale, 63,700 Lek and a quantity of suspected narcotic cannabis sativa were seized.
Work is underway to identify and capture other persons involved in this criminal activity.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Durrës General Jurisdiction, for further actions, for the criminal offenses "Trafficking of weapons and ammunition", carried out in collaboration and "Production and sale of narcotics ", the police informs.
