
Two people have been arrested by the Saranda Police after it was discovered that they were using a car wash in the city to distribute narcotics.
The arrested are a 51-year-old man with the initials RM and a 22-year-old man with the initials IP. Preliminary investigations revealed that these citizens were engaging in illegal activities in the field of selling narcotics, using the premises of a car wash on "Idriz Alidhima" street as a base for their distribution.
During the search of the car wash premises, the police found and seized approximately 1 kilogram of the narcotic cannabis sativa, 2 vehicle license plates, 1 motorcycle license plate, and materials for separating and packaging the drug, including aluminum foil.
"The specialists of the Crime Investigation Section at the Saranda Police Commissariat, after intensive operational and investigative work, successfully finalized the police operation codenamed "Camouflage".
As a result of this operation, it was possible to capture in flagrante delicto citizens RM, 51 years old, and IP, 22 years old, residents of Saranda.
The investigative actions revealed that these citizens were carrying out illegal activities in the field of selling narcotics, in the premises of a car wash, on "Idriz Alidhima" street, Saranda, which they had adapted as a base for the distribution of narcotics.
During the search conducted in this area, the Police services found and seized, as material evidence, approximately 1 kg of the narcotic substance cannabis sativa, as well as other items that served to separate and package it, specifically: 2 vehicle license plates, 1 motorcycle license plate and aluminum foil.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Saranda, for further action ," the police announced.
