A serious statement, currently being investigated by authorities, has been filed with Argostoli Police by a girl who claims to have fallen victim to the 26-year-old weightlifter involved in the death of Myrtos in Kefalonia.
According to her, the former weightlifter had slipped a date rape pill into her drink. The girl told "Star" that the incident occurred in August 2022, but she did not report it at the time.
"In August 2022, I went to have a drink at a restaurant in Argostoli Square. I was 26 years old at the time. I sat at the bar, ordered a drink and he came and sat next to me. Even though I didn't know him, he started talking to me and then flirted with me ," the girl stated.
She continues to describe details, emphasizing that after consuming the drink, her condition suddenly worsened.
"I ordered a second drink. I started to feel very dizzy and suddenly I fell unconscious. From that moment on, I don't remember anything else. I woke up at home the next morning. I was saying that it couldn't be that "everything went out", they threw something at me. At that time, I didn't go to the police, because we live in a small society and I didn't want to continue. But now, that I have become a mother, I understand the pain of Myrto's mother and I felt that they should listen to me. I went on Tuesday evening and reported the incident to the Argostoli Police," the girl said.
According to reports, the 26-year-old is suspected of having a repetitive pattern of action, approaching young girls and establishing contact with them.
According to the complainant, other girls have also contacted the authorities after being alarmed by the death of 19-year-old Myrto and have decided to testify about similar experiences.
"When I read about the girl's death, I immediately suspected him, because he had done the same thing to me. I was sure it was him. When his name came up, I was confirmed. I was never drunk, I never gave permission. Imagine that the next day I went to the store and apologized for fainting and disturbing them. As if it was my fault. I heard that he had done it to other girls too and they went to report him to the police ," she said.
Meanwhile, the funeral ceremony for the 19-year-old is expected to be held on April 17. The three young men involved, including an Albanian, were arrested by police and are expected to appear in court.
According to the newspaper "Star", two of the arrested, a 26-year-old and a 23-year-old, are persons with criminal records. Specifically, FBI officers had conducted a coordinated operation in Kefalonia for persons suspected of drug trafficking, mainly cocaine, where their names were among the most wanted.
