The Tirana court has remanded in prison the 3 arrested for the kidnapping of a businessman in Tirana.

The Tirana Court has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" for Jurgen and Kevin Neza, as well as their cousin Hysen Neza, accused of kidnapping builder Florian Sula a few days ago.

The three suspects did not give statements during the court session, while their legal representative disputed the charges, claiming that it was not a case of hostage-taking. According to the defense, Sula was taken in a vehicle for an explanation regarding a debt of 60 million lek that he owed them.

The lawyer added that, after ascertaining Sula's financial inability to repay the amount, they released him. It was also alleged that one of the arrested persons surrendered himself, while the other two were in a serious psychological state and under the influence of narcotics, without providing evidence for these claims.

According to preliminary investigations, the three young men introduced themselves as BKH agents to deceive the victim, keeping him in a private setting for several hours.

The incident is alleged to have occurred on March 31, when they forcibly took her, raped her and demanded 2 million euros in exchange for her release. According to the investigation, Sula promised a sum of 500 thousand euros, but after her release she filed a police report.
