A 2-month-old baby from Korça has died in a Tirana hospital, after being urgently transported for more specialized treatment due to her serious health condition.
The baby arrived at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center in critical condition the day before. Despite the intervention of doctors and efforts to keep him alive, the baby died a few hours after arriving at the hospital.
Meanwhile, the investigative group has begun verifications to clarify the circumstances of the incident. It is learned that the procedural materials have been referred to the Korça Prosecutor's Office.
During the procedures, the cause of the baby's death is expected to be determined, including whether it was due to malnutrition or any other health problem that may have been present at birth.
