The Police Supervision Agency (Elbasan - Korçë Region) has executed the decision of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, which has imposed the security measures of a prohibitive nature "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service", "Prohibition of leaving the country" and "Obligation to report to the judicial police" provided for by articles 233, 234 and 242 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, against the police officer;
Inspector EK, acting as General Patrol Officer at the Elbasan Police Department, suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Abuse of office" and "Supporting the perpetrator in a crime" provided for by articles 248 and 302 of the Criminal Code.
The assignment of security measures was made possible within the framework of the criminal proceedings of 2025, where the investigations conducted using special methods resulted in the police officer abusing his duties and supporting persons with criminal records in their illegal activity.
Investigations are ongoing to fully document this illegal activity and identify other possible individuals involved.
