"He changed his will, passed the wealth to the Albanian", new details

Other details have been revealed regarding the incident that occurred a few days ago in Finikounda, where a Greek and an Albanian were shot to death by an as yet unknown person while they were at a campsite.

Greek police are reportedly investigating two leads, personal or financial.

Police investigators dealing with the case have already ruled out robbery as a motive and seem convinced that other, more personal reasons lie behind the attack.

Considering the two attacks that the campsite owner allegedly received in the recent past by an unknown person (he did not name anyone specific to authorities), police are examining the possibility that it could be the same perpetrator.

Greek media have revealed the testimony of the grandson of the Greek owner of the campsite, one of the victims.

The nephew described the moments of terror, stating that “as soon as my uncle was shot, I managed to run quickly and get away.” He added that the killer managed to shoot his uncle to death.

So far, statements have been taken from relatives and friends of the 68-year-old owner, where it is suspected that there were people who targeted his property.

According to sources, the 68-year-old owner had recently changed his will, leaving the campsite to his nephew and close Albanian friend, who was also killed.

This detail is considered essential, as it overturns previous suspicions and strengthens the possibility that the crime is linked to financial disputes.

At the same time, a sales offer of approximately 5 million euros was issued for the sale of the campsite, which is also being examined as a possible motive.

It is learned that the owner of the campsite has been attacked twice before. The first incident occurred several months ago, when an unknown person shot him in the gallbladder with an air pistol, while the second incident involved a physical attack inside the business premises. These incidents were not investigated, but now appear to be connected to the double murder.

Police have launched a wide-ranging operation in the Messinia region, using every available piece of evidence from cameras, mobile phones and witness statements. Special teams from the Criminal Investigation Service are analysing the findings from the scene, while it is also being investigated whether the perpetrator had any connection to the victims or knew details about their financial situation.

At the same time, previous cases of attacks in the area are being examined to determine if there is a common pattern or connection to the killer's modus operandi.

The Finikounda case has shocked the entire Messinia region of Greece. Local authorities believe the perpetrator had personal or financial motives and may have carefully studied his plan.

Despite the fact that days have passed since the murder, the investigations remain open and continue with unabated intensity.

Police have considered the possibility of investigating the victim's financial transactions and the changes he made shortly before he lost his life.

While the perpetrator remains at large, the double murder in Finikounda continues to cause horror and questions about who or what is behind one of the darkest cases of recent years.
