Ardian Çapja and the members of his group, convicted for the murder of Gentian and Nezir Beqir, have appealed to the Supreme Court for annulment of the decision.
It is noted that in the appeal, the change of the decision of the Special Court of First Instance, and that of the Appeal, is requested, establishing the not guilty declaration of Ardjan Çopjas and his brother Florenc Çapjas, since it is not proven, according to the defense, that they have committed the criminal offenses for which they are accused.
The group also demands the revocation of the "Arrest in prison" measure.
Ardian Çapja, his brother Florenc Çapja and Jorgo Leku alias Olsi Leku were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Special Court, in connection with the murder of Nezir and Gentjan Beqiri, father and son, which occurred on the morning of August 15, 2012 in the city of Elbasani, inside the apartment of the deceased. Klajdi Dokoli and Etjen Cani were sentenced to 25 years each, and Ervis Bardhi, associate of justice, to 15 years.
Conflicts of the Çapja tribe
Everything started in 2005. Between the paid killer Dritan Sheme and one of the Çapja brothers in Elbasan, and more specifically Sokol, a death contract was concluded, where the goal was the physical elimination of Rezart Çela, who in 2005, was holding Sokol Çapjen tight. for many gambling machines in the Elbasan district, which were actually owned by an Italian named Paolo Mazzuco. The "death contract" was connected with a value of 30 thousand euros, where initially Sokol Çapja had given a payment of 15 thousand euros in advance and the other difference of 15 thousand euros, would be received as soon as Dritan Sheme had completed the work took over the murder of Rezart Çela.
Sheme, as a professional killer, executed Rezart Çela in October 2005, and after a few days appeared before Sokol Çapja, to request the difference of 15 thousand euros. However, Sokoli, after being released from Rezart Çela, entered a state of euphoria and did not want to give him the change of the amount agreed with Dritan Shemen. Sokol Çapja, being influenced by Kamer Mehja, who told Sokol that he should not be afraid of Dritan Sheme, told him: "... you should not be afraid of Dritan, who is one and a half meters tall , and you are two meters...".
The death contract between Sheme and Çapjat was explained by Elton Mema, the son of Fadil Mema, who was questioned by the prosecutor Ritvan Suka on February 14, 2019 in the premises of the Turin court, in the presence of the Italian colonel Paolo Palazzo and Antonio Nicolletta and the Italian prosecutor , Caesar Parodi. In the testimony that Elton Mema explained that the mess with Çapjat happened exactly when his father wanted to celebrate his 40th birthday, in their bar "Univers", where Çapjat stipulated that they did not want the presence of their cousin Dritan Sheme in local.

2005
For revenge, on December 26, 2005, in a bar near the university of Elbasan, three people shot at Sokol Çapes, the owner of the Universit Hotel in Elbasan. The perpetrators, after entering the bar, asked the customers to lie down while they approached Sokol Çapes, shooting him and leaving him seriously injured, while he died in the hospital. Suspects for this crime, the police arrested Armand Hasan, the brother-in-law of Fadil Mema Dritan Shemen, as well as Gentian Beqiri, also known as Ardian Meta. Beqiri was sentenced to 25 years in prison at the Court of Appeal in Durrës, but the Supreme Court reinstated the case while Beqiri was placed under house arrest. He was killed on August 16, 2012, while two people approached the apartment guarded by the police and introduced themselves to them as the sons of Gentian Beqiraj's aunt. In the same event, his father, Nezir Beqiraj, also died.
2006
After the murder of Çapje in 2005, on June 19, 2006, Dritan Sheme was killed in an apartment in the capital, shortly after he had returned to Albania from Italy. For this crime, the police could not identify the suspects.
2006
In 2006, Fadil Mema's brother-in-law, Ardian Ibrahimi, was killed, who was shot near the driving school owned by Mema. Likewise, for this event, there were no people detained or arrested, despite the fact that many such people were accompanied.
2009
Meanwhile, in 2009, the former Elbasan anti-drug officer Roland Rexhepi, also known by the nickname Doda, was killed. Armand Llaka, Marjus Tafa and Arben Jace were suspected and arrested for this crime. The court did not evaluate the evidence provided by the prosecution, acquitting the suspects.
2012
Meanwhile, in 2012, Gentian Beqiri was killed in his apartment, along with his father Nazim Beqiri, who was also known as one of Fadil Mema's close friends. For this crime, the police arrested Arben Jaçe and Florenc Çapje. Even in this case, as in the case of Rexhepi, the persons were released due to lack of evidence. Jaçe had claimed that everything against him was a staging without any evidence.
March 13, 2015
On March 13, 2013, Fadil Mema was killed in Turin, Italy. He was shot in the evening with firearms, receiving 6 wounds, below his house. His son Eltoni claimed to the Italian media that they knew the perpetrators of his father's murder. The whole series of murders, unpunished by justice, also brought last night's massacre with three killed and 8 wounded.
February 2016
Another member of the Çapja tribe, Agron Çapja, was killed in a gunshot attack, as well as two other people: Eno Bedalli and Ardit Sinakolli.
