Ramazani, Pëllumbi's brother, had been looking for a sign from him for days, contacting the family as well.
"I found out that my brother had disappeared, I went to the police, I went to his family and I asked. They told me we don't know anything. This was very suspicious, but I did not doubt his children and family. At 11 o'clock at night on the 22nd, the police came and exhumed him. I had my brother here and I was looking for him in other places", said the victim's brother, Ramazan Meta.
According to Pëllumb Meta's relatives, the allegations of violence raised by his wife and children after the crime do not stand. They demand deepening of the investigations and the punishment of whoever masterminded the crime.
"The cause of this work is my wife. The state should do the work and find the main perpetrator. Who was able to teach the children? The children had nothing bad from their father. He educated them and kept them close. What was wrong with them? It's good that they killed him, but why did they bury him to make him disappear? They came to tell me, "O uncle, we killed him in a fight," he said.
According to Pëllumb Meta's family members, his wife Blerina has always fed the children with hatred towards their father and his people. She did not have good relations with anyone and forced Pëllumbi not to talk to her family even though she had neighbors.
As for the children, they say that they have been calm except for the eldest son Hysen, who they say was violent and used narcotics.
