New details have emerged regarding the serious incident recorded this Saturday morning in Vlora, where a 4-year-old child lost his life under still unclear circumstances.
According to preliminary information, the minor, a resident of Palasa, has shown health problems and his family has decided to transport him to the Vlora Regional Hospital by private vehicle, without first sending him to the local Health Center. Initial suspicions point to a reaction after consuming honey, however this remains only an initial version.
Police sources say that the child arrived at the hospital with no signs of life. A preliminary examination of the body did not reveal any signs of violence or other injuries that could be related to external interference.
Health and police authorities have initiated the relevant procedures, while specialized forensic examinations are awaited to determine the exact cause of death. Investigations are ongoing, while any final conclusions will only be made public after the official results.
