We are talking about Barush Bregu, the right wing of the Licë team.
An action like in the movies took place today in the Kiras neighborhood in Shkodra. Meanwhile, the identity of the young man who shot at the police and managed to escape has been revealed. It is Barush Bregu, the right-hand man of the Licëve.
The 39-year-old, known as Ibrahim Lici's right-hand man, has a criminal record for drugs and illegal possession of weapons and is suspected of involvement in several serious criminal events. He was declared wanted after being suspected of supporting the perpetrator of the Shkodra massacre, Ragip Gila.
Bregu is wanted for several criminal offenses, including "Providing conditions and material means to commit murder", "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Theft".
Bregu's criminal past
Barush Bregu was previously arrested in May 2019, following a joint operation by RENEA, FNSH and "Eagle" forces in a rented apartment in the Paris Municipality area of Tirana.
He was sentenced to 4 years in prison for cultivating narcotic plants, an offense committed in collaboration in 2016.
Meanwhile, in 2018, the police found a Kalashnikov firearm and combat ammunition in his apartment, for which he was placed under the security measure "Arrest in prison" for illegal possession of weapons.
Authorities consider Bregu to be part of a criminal group and he is also suspected of involvement in drug trafficking and other criminal activities in the Shkodra region.
Connection with the Licë group
Barush Bregu is known as the right-hand man of Ibrahim Lici, suspected of being the perpetrator of the double murder of the Bilali brothers in Shkodra.
Police suspect that he assisted Lici in this incident that occurred on March 30, 2019, as well as in other criminal activities. According to the investigation, Bregu is suspected of being the person who assisted Lici in his movements and activities.
In another case, during a police pursuit in Shkodra, Bregu allegedly crashed his vehicle into two police patrol cars, managing to flee the scene.
In one of the police operations, Bajram Çekorja, 21 years old, a resident of Shkodra, was also arrested, suspected of supporting Barush Bregu.
