Three employees of the administrative unit 'Ostren' and the municipality of Bulqiza have been arrested by the police of Dibra under the charge of falsifying the documents of some citizens in order for the latter to obtain Bulgarian passports.
In handcuffs have fallen: Luan Mjeshtri as administrator of the Ostren Administrative Unit, Arlin Limani as social service specialist in the Ostren Administrative Unit as well as Fitim Balla as secretary of the Municipal Council in Bulqiza municipality.
The arrested, in cooperation with each other, abused their duty by falsifying Civil Status documents, to provide various citizens with certificates that they resided in the Ostren administrative unit, in order to register in the association "Golloborda" and obtain Bulgarian passports.
They are charged with the criminal offenses of "Forgery of documents", "Abuse of duty" and "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions".
