A serious incident was recorded this afternoon on the Durrës-Plepa (Plazh) urban line, where a bus caught fire while it was in motion.
It is learned that the bus was moving and carrying passengers when it caught fire. Initially, smoke was noticed coming from the rear of the vehicle, which caused panic among the passengers.
But fortunately, the driver managed to stop the vehicle in time and help evacuate the people inside, without any human consequences.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and managed to neutralize the flames, but the bus was completely burned. So far, the damage is only material, while an expert report is awaited to determine the causes of the fire, which is suspected to be related to a technical defect.
