The police of Tirana have put 39-year-old Andi Kullaj in handcuffs, who chased 17-year-old Isuf Mehmeti to death yesterday evening as he was crossing the road near the white lines in Fushë-Krujë.
It is learned that Andi Kullaj was drunk at the time of the accident.
According to the police, the cause of the accident was the alcohol that the 39-year-old had consumed and the high speed at which he was moving.
Kullaj has exceeded the norm for circulation in the residential area, where there is also a 9-year school not far away.
"Around 21:30, in Fushë Krujë, the vehicle driven by the citizen AK, had an accident resulting in the death of a 17-year-old minor.
The AK citizen has been escorted to the police station for further action, while the investigative team is at the scene and is working to clarify the circumstances of the accident ," the police announced.
